Súľov rocks hiking

Explore with us a national nature reserve situated within the Súľov mountains region. We will hike in a beautiful natural scenery. The hills form a U-shape half circle, with the rocks resembling towers, cones, needles, gates, some of which are like figures or animals.

It is a national nature reserve with the highest degree of protection. At its heart, we will find a magical beech forest, an old Súľov castle (fortress) from medieval era and a Dragon hole – the hidden cave, that was once a home of Neolithic people. Archaeologists also found here animal bones of the cave bear, wolfs and cave lion. Súľov rocks are definitely the magical place to explore in Slovakia. After the hike we will visit a restaurant Koliba, where you can taste traditional Slovak food.

Day trip to Banská Štiavnica UNESCO

Discover beautiful Banská Štiavnica – a town inside the old huge volcano, UNESCO world heritage site. Definitely a most charismatic town in Slovakia where nature, human and culture delicately meets each other. In the past a wealthy mining town rich in silver and gold ore, nowadays an artistic and cultural base with many events going on throughout the whole year. Walking the streets you can discover lovely cafés, bars and local restaurants at every corner. Nature around the town is amazing, man made lakes were once a huge technology. How? You will find out on the trip.

We have many options to discover: Old town, Old castle, New castle, Unique Calvary monument, Unique manmade water lakes „Tajchy“, entering to the old mine, visiting famous Teahouse, winetasting the wines from Volcano, hiking around the town and search for amazing views and hidden spots or visiting a botanical garden with famous old schools campus. So you will choose on this trip your preferred sites, or just simply let yourself be guided by a local guide Michal who knows „every stone“ and „every corner“ in this area.

In one option of this day trip we will hike to the Sitno hill (1009 meters) which is the highest point of the region and rises above the whole landscape. You will love the great views for the whole countryside. On this day trip you will discover this exceptional place with its great charisma, unique history, architecture and artistic atmosphere, that makes out of this location one of the most precious places in Slovakia.

Adventurous hiking in "Jánošíkove diery"

Experience the true spirit of Slovak mountains. National park „Malá Fatra“ is one of those which offer the most beautiful scenery. A hiking path called „Jánošíkove diery“ takes you through the natural system of canyons, mountain gorges and many waterfalls. Some canyon parts are so narrow that you walk literally over the water. This is a challenging but very energizing hike. You will return exhausted, as well as full of new power. We will choose among the hiking trails of 3 optional difficulties: the first is quite easy, the second and third are more demanding. Definitely one of the best choices to enjoy Slovak nature. Highly recommended!

Perfect afternoon activity on Danube river

Ever wondered how the late afternoon looks like when rafting down the river Danube? Do you want to experience it yourself? Then join us on the 3-hour trip on water trail „Hainburg – Devín – Bratislava“. This rafting on Danube's main stream takes you on a pleasant adventure. When water condition allows, we will take part of our way on beautiful „Karloveské rameno“ – a Danube river cozy side stream. River speed on this trip is normally about 10 km/h. As boats, we use rafts or catamarans, which are two canoes joined together for greater stability. This is ideal for beginners and intermediate canoeists.

Start of the trip is in Bratislava. We will provide a transfer to the Hainburg an der Donau, where we will get on the water and start the rafting. Shortly we will enter the 2-state border point between Austria and Slovakia, right where the river Morava flows into the bigger Danube river. It is a beautiful & picturesque spot located right under the monumental rock of Devín castle. When the weather is nice and the water conditions allows us we will stop at the Danube river bank and take a refreshing bath in the water. By the evening, ending the trip in Bratislava just with the sunset.
